Growing like weeds

The girls had their four-month check-up today. Bea's nine-pound weight put her comfortably on the growth chart (age-adjusted for prematurity, mind you). Clocking in at 10 pounds, 11 ounces, Maggie can boast of being in the 50th to 75th percentile (again age-adjusted) for weight, length, and head circumference. Both girls were given a clean bill of health, performing the required developmental tricks of head raising and weight-supporting with their legs. Other than expressing their strong displeasure at a couple of unwelcome vaccination shots, the girls took the visit in stride. The accompanying photos are from a picnic dinner by the Potomac last evening. We took advantage of some lovely early summer weather, the heavy blanket of humidity having not yet descended on DC.

  1. - ah, the pastoral life (ha!) - lovely, lovely pictures, and a volley of cheers for the excellent developmental news.
