Maggie and Bea met Grandmas Janet and Joan this afternoon. Both received some grandmaternal strokes, and Maggie received a first back massage from the expert hand of her Grandma Janet. Maggie has high hopes of getting off the ventilator in the next day or so, but this is all par for the course with an undercooked preemie. By contrast, Bea seems oblivious to how tiny she is, breathing without aid and ready to shift over to breastmilk. Amazingly scrappy little girl!
Maggie and Bea are fortunate to have such great grandmas. I'm prejudiced, of course, because our kids also had Grandmas Joan and Janet. A most fortunate coincidence, I am sure. Go girls go!
